Naturally, only the Lanes would decide to order a dumpster and clean out the house and garage on the hottest weekend in history. Im certain the Farmers Almanac and Guiness checked to see if we were planning any hard labor and arranged for it to be beyond hellish. We survived--thanks in large part to our sister friend Patti Adams and Olivia Nicole who are always in the trenches with us. All this despite the fact that the storage facility gate was broken and Cory had to press and run for it to truck out safely, a couple of us got heat stroke (no names, please), Patti drove off talking up a blue streak when it suddenly occurred to her that she left Pepper standing on the hot pavement in the parking lot, and finally, the bathroom caught on fire. What else would you expect? Thank you Jill Avery Townsend and sweet little KT for arriving unexpectedly like Florence Nightingales with necessary refreshments. We are truly blessed by amazing family and friends. Well let you know when we move, because Im sure there will be fires, hurricanes and locusts...
