Need advice. Im pretty much desperate at this point. The last couple days my horse and I have been stuck on the rhythm portion of the Dressage scale. Ive had this horse a decade and we havent been fighting eachother this badly in years. I cannot get him to slow down, hes running through my aids. I can slow him down for a few strides and then he goes back at it. My usual methods of getting him into a rhythm and supple just arent working. Ive tried circling, transitions, spiraling, surpentines, etc. Everything Ive ever been taught. I need a new gameplan and fresh ideas. It is making me crazy. And yes, it is cooler outside but that doesnt help that this is a problem that needs to be corrected.
