Need for competent people. The founder of Infosys Ltd Narayana Murthy was called back from retirement and made executive Chairman of the company and asked to tide over the loss of revenue of the company. Narayana Murthy was outright in his statement that there would be some tough decisions to be taken resulting in pain for redressing the situation. Be it remembered that Sir Anerood Jugnauth was PM when he dealt with Narayana Murthy to pioneer the coming into existence of the cybercity at Ebene, our silicon valley. When two competent and well-intentioned persons meet, it is always for the general good. However, it is still an enigma as to how Indian PM, in the course of his visit to Mauritius, was made to read a message where the name of Sir Anerood Jugnauth was erased or deliberately not mentioned. Narayana Murthy has promised to redress Infosys Ltd, not doing well after his departure from the company. He has promised to do well but his tough decisions would cause some pain, he said. The SAJ/PRB combine would be faced with a similar situation as Infosys Executive Chairman is facing to-day. If SAJ has defied old age , PRB has defied illness. The nation needs them. When old age and illness give place to patriotism, we need be hopeful !!
