Need foster for Cookie! apply at pmarinc.org As her name suggests, Cookie is a real treat!! She arrived as a stray and was clearly a very recent mom, but Cookie herself is barely past her puppyhood. She is full of life and loves to play. Shes very friendly, loving and waggy - not only with people, but seemingly with other dogs too. Cookie seems to be housetrained, takes treats softly, and sits on command. She is very petite and has a delicate beauty about her. Cookie is so loving, gentle and well-behaved...what are you waiting for?? Indulge! Cookie would love to meet you at the Brooklyn Care Center. SAFER: EXPERIENCED HOME **Please note: Cookie is being used as a behavior helper dog** Helper Dog: A0989540 Cookie pulls on the leash and was sociable toward the handler during the assessment - soft body. She was excited during some of the handling items, but had soft body language. She engages in play, loose body, wags tail, mouth is open. She was stiff and cannot be pushed out of the food bowl, but did not growl, snap or bite. She showed minimal interest in toys and took the rawhide away, but body language was stiff. Cookie rushed in during the dog-dog test, but showed no aggression. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessors hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted and soft body. Dogs mouth is likely closed for at least a portion of the assessment item. Tag: 1. Dog assumes play position and joins the game. Squeeze 1 & 2: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. Her eyes are averted and her ears are relaxed or back. Food: 3. Dog gulps food, begins to eat faster and with bigger bites, body stiff. She does not lift head when hand is applied to cheek. Toy: 1. Minimal interest in toy, dog may smell or lick, then turns away. Rawhide: 3. Dog takes rawhide away, keeps a firm hold. Her body is stiff. Dog-dog: 2. Dog approaches helper dog with tail at spine level, body not stiff, ears forward.
