Neighborhood Tourist Development Fund Training Wednesday, September 11, 6-8 p.m. Hillcrest Community Center 10401 Hillcrest Road Organizations that attend will receive an application packet with the new NTDF eligibility and funding applications. Workshop topics include: Purpose of the Neighborhood Tourist Development Fund Eligibility and Funding requirements Documentation required for consideration Tips on preparing successful applications Contract compliance Reimbursement process Organizations wishing to apply for a grant must host cultural, social, ethnic, historic, educational or recreational activities. In addition, interested organizations must: Be a non-profit incorporated in the State of Missouri; Have its registered office in the city limits of Kansas City, Mo.; Have neighborhood, community, tourism, promotion and development priorities as part of its mission; meet the City’s requirements for contracting with non-municipal agencies; and Thoroughly demonstrate that it meets the program’s eligibility requirements. Application packets will be available at the workshop and will be due Monday, Oct. 15. Applications considered at this time are for activities that will take place during the 2014-15 fiscal year, which begins May 1, 2014 and ends April 30, 2015. Applications are accepted year-round; however, many organizations choose to apply by Oct. 15, as more money is available for this funding cycle. Applications for FY2013-14 third quarter grants, for events occurring from Dec. 1, 2013 through April 30, 2014, are also due on Oct. 15.
