Neira was satisfied once she had been rescued from that dreaded carnival. Mermaids didnt do well in tanks. She was happy to be home and able to move around. Her skin looked more lively and her tail shimmered like usual as she stretched out on the beach under the setting sun. Shed fed so she was in a wonderful mood. She loved to watch the sunset, it was one thing shed missed about her home. Her black hair shifted in the breeze and she started to sing softly as the sun sank beyond the rippling waters, causing the ocean to sparkle. This was why she loved the ocean, it was so beautiful, she wished humans saw it like she did so they would stop polluting the water and killing the marine life that surrounded her. She was the only mermaid, or so she felt. She had never met any others of her kind and it made her feel a bit lonely. She brushed it off however, remembering the few friends shed made as well as her sister. Once the sun was down, she pulled herself back to the water, swimming near the shore, enjoying the cool ripples against her skin. She dove and splashed, floating occasionally as she wondered what the night would bring. //open open open//
