Nelligan Hall has been around since the early twentieth century, bringing people together to enjoy the popular entertainment of the day. Built in 1880 as Globe Vaudeville Theater. It went on to become the local headquarters of the Democratic Party in the 1930s and later the North End social club. Since 06, ownership has transformed it into an artist collective and independent/ underground music venue. Under new management since May 2014, our aim is to keep up with tradition and provide an open & accessible space for community members, musicians, artists, performers, organizers, educators,and social activists of all stripes to hold their events, in order to foster a vibrant & participatory local creative culture. We hope to empower people of all ages to organize live music shows, movie screenings, art shows, dance/ theater performances, private parties, poetry/literary slams, community meetings, workshops & skillshares... and whatever else you envision!
