Nepal have been officially relegated to ICC World Cricket League Division-III. General Secretary of Cricket Association of Nepal Ashok Nath Pyakurel confirmed the demotion. “We received a letter from the ICC on Monday with the list of Division- III participating nations,” said Pyakurel. The list includes Nepal, USA, Bermuda and Uganda along with top two teams from Division-IV. “The ICC has not decided the venue yet but said the tournament will be held in the last quarter of the year,” said Pyakurel. Nepal had finished ninth in the ICC World Cup Qualifiers earlier this year in New Zealand and the fate was uncertain as the ICC had not defined the criteria except for the top two who qualified for the 2015 ICC World Cup. — HNS
