New Delhi, July 19 (TruthDive): The upcoming tour of Zimbabwe is vital for the Indian players as Team India is playing the matches in the absence of skipper Dhoni. Team India will leave for Zimbabwe on July 21, Sunday. Virat Kohli has been named the captain of Indian team in the upcoming tour of Zimbabwe. Team India has talented cricketers – Parvez Rasool, Jaydev Unadkat, Mohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane. Virat Kohli-led side will play five One Day Internationals against Zimbabwe from July 24. As captain, Kohli would definitely need to use this tour to improve his captaincy skills and discover the assurance that every successful captain possesses. Meantime, established players Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja should use this series to take their play to a higher level. This upcoming ODI series against Zimbabwe will also definitely provide a good opportunity for some new players in the squad, even though it will not interest the diehard fans of the game. India is continuing its spirit on the game after winning the prestigious ICC Champions Trophy and tri-series in the West Indies. Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been rested after picking a hamstring injury in West Indies. The well playing four frontline bowlers of Team India — Umesh Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ishant Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin have also been rested for the series. The selection committee has brought in Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane, but the senior batsman Gautam Gambhir was ousted due to bad form. Schedule 1st ODI – July 24, 2nd ODI – July 26, 3rd ODI -July 28, 4th ODI – July 31, 5th ODI – August 3. The first three matches of the series are in Harare and the final two in Bulawayo. The tour ends on August 3.
