New Glory Devotional : DONT DISAPPOINT GOD - Sunday January 26, 2014 By Pastor Ayodeji Agbelusi Memorise: And it repented the Lord that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at His heart. Genesis 6:6 Read: Genesis 6:1-8 You are a special investment of God on the earth. You are not an ordinary creature like the birds of the air and animals on the field. Your creation cost God the breath in His nostrils. He took out time to create you in His own image. You were wonderfully and gloriously arranged before you were released to planet earth. God did not make any mistake while creating you and before you were created, everything needed for your sustenance and peaceful living on earth was put in place. Even in your sin and disobedience, He made provision for your redemption and sanctification through the death and resurrection of His only begotten son - Jesus Christ. This love of the father needs to be at work in you to separate your from worldly love and activities that could lead you to disappointing the creator and the lover of your soul. You can either make God glad or sad as you continue your life on earth. In His joy over your life lies your prosperity and protection. But if Hes not at peace with you, destruction looms over every sinful soul. I pray this morning that the Lord will not be disappointed concerning His investment in your life in Jesus mighty name. What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes? Isaiah 5:4 KJV God must not regret creating or blessing you. Its evil for you to easily forget how you started and from where God has brought you. You did not become what you are by your strength or power. You are a product of the mercy and grace of the almighty. Are you now forgetting God because of that new job or contract? Is your new marriage now the reason why you are no longer fervent in your services to God? What exactly is taking you away from your source. Remember your husband or wife is not your source neither is your salary or business the reason why you are not poor. Deuteronomy 8:18 But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. God simply chose to be merciful to you and for that reason, you need to give Him your life and time in appreciation of all that He has done for you. Noah obeyed the commandments of the Lord after finding grace in His sight. Are you not receiving the grace of God in vain? Check your life and reconsider the paths you have chosen this year. If God is not in that journey you have embarked on, make a u-turn this morning and return to God for correction and direction so that He will be happy with you all over again. If you are living in sin and disobedience, you are merely operating on your own and God will never be glad with a sinful soul. Check your life this day and begin to engage yourself in activities that will make God smile on you continually and forever. Pray with me: My father and my God, please refrain me from living as a prodigal. Let my heart be glued to your love and give me the grace to maximise your investment in my life in Jesus mighty name.
