New Hanover County Schools (NHCS), in conjunction with the New Hanover County Health Department, will be offering free in-school Flu vaccines to all middle and high school students for the 2014-2015 school year. The vaccine will be administered by Health Department nurses to those students with written parental permission. The permission forms will go home on the first day of school. Parents must give permission in order for students to receive the vaccine at the school. Forms must be returned to the student’s homeroom teacher by September 8th in order for them to be processed. The vaccines will be offered at a designated time at each school between Monday, September 15th and Friday, September 26th.
