New Jerseys not quite a melting pot; its more like a thick, chunky gumbo: 1. Passed a bearded old school Newfoundland folk guitar player last night, sitting under a brick archway getting concert hall sound from the reflection. Very talented musician! 2. Passed the conservative and Hasidic students, and the Rabbis still in their vestments, walking home from services today at the Rabbinical College. 3. Passed St. Margarets of Scotland parish, whose congregation is now all Hispanic, holding their lawn sale, and all the boyfriends walking hand in hand with their girlfriends to lunch at the Ecuadorian, Galapagos, and Colombian restaurants. 4. Drove past all the colonial style architecture and gardens down the country roads - stunning. 5. Fish burrito at Titos - a great surfer burrito shop on the Morristown Green. That site was already old when the revolutionaries gathered there in 1775 and 1776! 6. Haircut at Eddies Barber Shop - took a while today as all the barbers were shouting at the screen in Italian, and talking with their hands, watching the Brazil games final shoot out. Its been a fun day! : )
