New Job Account Manager - 5282SC Industry: Accountancy Job Type: Permanent Location: Sheffield, England Salary: £20000 - £25000 per annum Due to expansion, our client, a Sheffield based specialist manufacturing company, are looking for an experienced Account Manager. Key duties and responsibilities include: *Grow long term sales and profit from existing customers *To manage and develop customer relationships *To effectively identify understand and communicate customer requirements *Responsibility for directly selling to all customers trading via the EMEA business *To be involved in and oversee the bidding and quoting processes to customers *Report competitor activity and work with the Product Managers to execute sales growth for all existing products in accordance with strategy *Develop and manage key account management strategies for all key accounts *Developing deep customer insight and will need to establish relationships at multiple levels of their customer base to ensure all decision makers interests are incorporated in quotes bids and proposals presented by the Company *Management of CRM (Sales Logix) system relating to all customer activity, including but not be limited to, the inputting of quotations, visit reports, customer contact information and market intelligence. Product knowledge of all EMEA rail product lines is expected to 60-70% technical proficiency. Support will be provided by the individual Product Specialists and the Technology & Solutions Team, but the Account Manager will be responsible for developing & retaining their own product knowledge in accordance with a clearly defined personal development programme. Collaboration with the individual Product Specialists is an essential component of this role and there will be shared responsibility for developing and converting the sales pipelines required to meet/exceed Sales Forecasts. Knowledge of the rail industry is an advantage but not essential. The successful candidate will be customer focused and flexible, work well within a team and have strong communication and time management skills.
