New Job Immediate start -Accounts Payable Assistant - SR01102014 Industry: Accountancy Job Type: Temporary Location: Bracknell, England Salary: £11.00 - £11.50 per annum As an Accounts Payable Assistant you will work closely with the suppliers of the Company to reconcile accounts and assists in the processing of approved payments. Your will deal with and resolve supplier and internal staff queries. As an Accounts Payable Assistant you will work as part of a wider team to improve processes, maintain accountancy records and to produce timely management and reporting information to the business. Duties to include: Data input and payment processing Apply basic accounting knowledge and techniques to all areas of work, including the production of journals, routine costing and variance analysis Accurately input invoice and other payment information into the Accounts system and the data warehouse system Add and amend Company / employee information in the systems as required, ensuring unique identifiers are accurate Match, batch and code invoices as required Identify and resolve errors and discrepancies, both internally and externally Process staff expenses and / or other payments as directed by management Analyse and allocate costs to the correct legal entity within the group via journals Invoice payment approval Maintain the purchase invoice approval log and make sure invoices are approved in a timely manner, following up approvals with department managers Deal with purchase and invoice queries in a timely and efficient manner Payment runs Assist in the production of payment runs, covering for team members when on holiday with bank reconciliations and any ad hoc exercises which may be required Ensure payments adhere to finance policies and procedures in all circumstances Supplier reconciliation Assist with the reconciliation of supplier bills and challenge items which are billed in error with supplier
