New Job Management Accountant - 47864766 Industry: Accountancy Job Type: Permanent Location: Basingstoke, England Salary: £40000 - £50000 per annum Job Title: Management Accountant (Manufacturing Environment) Salary : £40k - £50k Location: Basingstoke Role Summary: Reporting to the Financial Controller. Responsible for preparing, maintaining & reporting on various financial activities including gross profit by program, departmental expense reviews and manufacturing variances. Key Responsibilities: 1. Complies with and champions the health, safety and environmental regulations 2. Adopts the companies Code of Conduct and works to it accordingly 3. Complies with QMS 4. Spots non-conformance in processes and escalates as appropriate 5. Monthly balance sheet reconciliations 6. Analytical review of expense accounts 7. Working with the Financial Controller, develop & maintain departmental expense reports commentating on significant variances between budget, forecast & prior year. Report to management variances. 8. Working with the Financial Controller, develop & maintain gross profit reports by customer & programs. Report to management on a regular basis performance versus budget, forecast & prior year 9. Develop and improve reporting of financial data 10. Preparation, reconciliation and submission of monthly VAT Returns, EC Sales & Intra-Stats reporting. 11. Establish and maintain the reporting of product costs utilizing the ERP System. Review variances and work closely with operations to understand root cause and actions if required. 12. Develop and sustain a cost reporting framework and metrics to facilitate the communication of variances and management of product operating costs 13. Assist in the integration of costing information into the long range plan and financial forecasts 14. Regular review of Actual costs versus Plan for significant Capital, Tooling & Maintenance requests. Reporting to requestor and management latest status and any exceptional variances. 15. Assist Financial Controller in preparing for the migration of the existing ERP system onto the Group platform. This will require a re-build of the existing GL structure. 16. Prepare key financial data on a weekly basis for the weekly management KPI meeting. Qualifications: Excellent Microsoft office specifically Excel CIMA or alternative accounting standard - Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant Experiance: ERP Systems All aspects of a busy finance office Experience working in a Manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of cost accounting including experience in the analysis of product costs in automated ERP system environment.
