New Job Robotics Engineer - Robot Systems - PTR14/534 Industry: Engineering Job Type: Permanent Location: Tamworth, England Salary: £35000 - £40000 per annum + benefits Our client has been established for more than 30 years and specialise in the provision of bespoke automation solutions for a range of precision manufacturing applications and engineering sectors, and as a result of continued success and a planned program of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit an experienced, dynamic and highly self motivated Robotics Engineer to complement their established and successful team. Reporting to the Robotics Manager, the successful candidate will work as part of a team responsible for the production of robotic automation cells as well as performing associated development and test activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of robot programming and the interfacing of automation cells, as well as assisting the team in the development of new products and best practices. Additionally you will be tasked with undertaking the initial scoping out of projects, working closely with the sales team in order to assist with ensuring that the correct robot is specified for the project through the use of robot studio and undertaking extensive simulation work prior to build. You will demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with high value customers on a site face to face basis, and you can expect to split your time between the manufacturing and Head Office location in Staffordshire and customer sites throughout the UK, undertaking programming and installation work on the robotic systems as well as planned preventative and reactive breakdown and service activities on existing customer installations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic robot engineer with proven programming and repair skills to further progress their career within a progressive and committed automation solutions provider, and to be considered, you will be qualified to at least HNC or above in a relevant engineering discipline and possess at least 3 years previous experience gained within a similar robotic systems environment. Essentially you will possess a full, clean driving licence and be flexible to travel throughout the UK.
