New Job Supply Chain Manager - Aerospace - 465641-25714 Industry: Aerospace Job Type: Permanent Location: Bedfordshire, England Salary: £55000 - £60000 per annum + Fantastic Benifits One of the worlds leading manufacturers of products and consumables to the Aerospace industry are currently recruiting a Supply Chain Manager to join their rapidly growing business. As the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement and supply chain strategies for the business, managing a team of professionals while also taking appropriate action across the business unit to ensure that professional purchasing ethics are being maintained, and the business objectives are not being compromised. Whilst also being a provider of logistical services, your key duties will include: - Negotiating, implementing and maintaining appropriate supplier agreements to meet business objectives, monitoring, reporting and managing supply chain performance against SLAs KPIs and other business criteria Develop and execute sourcing, product data management and costing strategies that deliver quality, delivery, cost and lead time reduction improvements. Develop and execute robust, efficient and effective documented business processes that support the strategy. Actively partake in the ongoing development of the business ERP system Develop and manage the strategic purchasing, costing and product data management teams to deliver and execute the strategy, objectives and processes. Work with global Purchasing functions, other sites and all other functions to ensure cost management, quality delivery and strategic advantage is attained. Develop and execute purchasing strategies that encompass supplier reduction and LCC sourcing that is critical to the long term development of the business model. Develop and manage existing and potential suppliers including RFQ, selection, approval, development, maintenance and exit processes of a global supply base (LCC). Negotiating, implementing and maintaining appropriate supplier agreements to meet business objectives, monitoring, reporting and managing supply chain performance against SLAs KPIs and other business criteria. You will also be expected to deliver on all BOM targets for all programs realising projected Gross Margin, whilst maintaining the schedule of LTA renegotiation You will also ensure a minimum improvement of 10% to material budgets, establish year on year cost improvement targets, adherence to on time delivery, cost and quality measures and ensure 100% data accuracy on the internal system for all purchased parts You will be CIPS/MCIPS qualified, with a background in aerospace buying, both technically and strategically with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of aerospace commodities and cost base.
