About the role: Expect to work hard and learn fast. As a Voice Recording Systems Engineer you will focus upon the system monitoring of voice recording and compliance systems and company trading platforms; your key activities will include office based management of remote support desk, diagnostics and monitoring; field system engineering assistance to financial clients, on-site customer support and project implementations assistance. Your duties will consist of but not be limited to the following: *Voice Recording Systems Engineer will have remote Access to aid diagnosis and fix for our customers *Maintaining system checks and remote access processes and templates *Trouble shooting, diagnosis, resolutions of service related faults and application of recommend product fixes *Customer Database Administration and maintenance, capacity management *Capture and analysis of system logs and alarms *Customers voice recording data queries and retrievals *Voice Recording Software and System configuration *Understanding the impact of change to our systems and recommending appropriate steps to avoid adverse impact *Production of Method Statements, scope of works or similar planning around change control *Liaison and escalation for technical support including manufacturer when appropriate *Fault replication and troubleshooting About the Voice Recording Systems Engineer technical skills: It is ESSENTIAL that you already have strong understanding of Windows Operating Systems (Windows Server 2008/2003), and basic understanding of Relational Databases (SQL 2008/2005/2000, MySQL) and Voice and Data networking and storage. It is ESSENTIAL that you can demonstrate a track record of self-motivation with a thirst for learning and understanding new technology. It is ESSENTIAL that you are able to learn and adapt to new technology independently and efficiently. Must have some commercial IT experience and providing high-level customer support. It is BENEFICIAL that you will have already or express desire to obtain: Microsoft MCITP or MCSE or MCSA certifications, or any the following: SQL DBA, Cisco CCNA, and VMware. It is BENEFICIAL that you have basic understanding of traditional TDM telephony system principles, back-up office PBX traditional digital extensions and Cisco/Avaya VoIP solutions.
