New Moon Affirmation: I hereby declare that I will not be held captive to the limits that my world places on my identity. I am free to construct my own self-image out of the heaps of love I have found within me; the messages that the stars have left me, the wisdom my ancestors, teachers, mentors and spiritual family whisper to me and the formidable history my blood carries forth. I define myself. I create and re-create myself. I am a resilient child of Universal Love who receives all the goodness that is available in this moment. Every cell in my body rejects any false notions of who I have been told I am and rejoices in the truth of my being. I am whole and broken, strong and vulnerable, renewed and ancient and I am an energetic force of fierce love that cannot be stopped. I go forth with courage in my pocket, success in my mind, a song in my heart and a skip in my step. This day is mine to live and no one need give me permission to do so.
