New News has been published on ITChacha By admin Pakistan News : The government has reaffirmed its determination to wage a decisive fight against militants following Tuesday’s school massacre of 142 people in Peshawar, Samaa reported Friday. According to Samaa correspondent, a high-level meeting, presided over by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at Pakistan Army’s General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, has decided to take every possible measure to punish terrorist elements and their facilitators. At the three-hour-long meeting, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his key cabinet members were briefed at over national security matters. Sources said Director General ISI, Lieutenant General Rizwan Akhtar, briefed the meeting over army’s achievements in the ongoing operations in Khyber Agency and North Waziristan. The meeting also discussed amendments in anti-terrorism laws to ensure smooth implementation of sentences in terrorism-related cases. “The government and army have expressed their resolve not to spare a single terrorist on the soil of Pakistan,” a source said. He said it was decided in the meeting that operation Zarb-e-Azb, which is underway in North Waziristan, will be expanded to other tribal areas and expedited on the basis of intelligence sharing. Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Prime Minister’s Advisor on Foreign Affairs and National Security Sartaj Aziz and Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatmi were also present in the briefing.
