New York at Christmas and photographs are just about the best things since Advent calendars... okay, maybe sliced bread, too. A couple weeks prior to my favorite holiday, Sothebys is hosting an upcoming auction from the Howard Stein collection. More than 175 photos will be displayed to commemorate the celebration of the 175th anniversary of the invention of photography. Scheduled for December 11th and 12th in NYC, the exhibition will encompass works from the early 1840s to contemporary color images. If youre headed up that way for a little visit, I highly recommend stopping at Sothebys.
