New apartment came with basic cable service, so imagine my surprise when I turn on the TV Tuesday night to find none of the channels work...except one which is a loop of a Comcast rep telling me our service is now digitally encrypted and we will need an adapter to watch our service! Helpful as ever they give a toll free number to order our adapter, which will be free, for a limited time. Now on the phone, after being dropped from an earlier call, then I am told I will need to speak to the bulk account department. Once someone picked up there, they had no idea about bulk accounts and asked me for my account info. Patiently explaining, again, that my service is provided through my apartment complex, the rep spends 25 minutes more trying to bring up an account, without success. And Comcast wonders why I dont order cable and internet service through them....
