New pregnancy therapy/support clinic opens at the UCAN Centre in Farnworth tomorrow, aimed at the most vulnerable and at risk pregnant women in the Farnworth and Bolton area. The Pregnancy Massage clinic has been set up with the full support of Midwives and the NHS Trust to offer a calming and holistic place to relax, recover, and learn relaxation techniques and de stress. The aim is to work with a professional therapist to increase the women’s chances of having a good overall outcome for the pregnancy and birth of the baby. This project – which will run for 9 months has been funded by Bolton Community Homes, and supported by Bolton Council, Bolton midwives, Bolton outreach support services as well as local children’s centres.
