Newcastle City Police are appealing for public assistance, as part of Missing Persons Week, to locate David Webber, missing from the Newcastle area since January last year. About 7am on Saturday 12 January 2013, 48-year-old David Webber was last seen by his girlfriend when she left his home in Hamilton Street, Hamilton North. She returned to his house on Monday 14 January 2013 and reported him missing after she could not locate him or his vehicle. His vehicle was then located unlocked on Saturday 19 January 2013 in Thorn Street, Newcastle. Investigations by Newcastle City Detectives have identified that Mr Webber was last seen at a shopping centre on Turton Road, Waratah, on Friday 18 January 2013. Mr Webber is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 175cm tall, with a medium build, with sandy grey hair and blue eyes. Police have concerns for David Webber’s welfare as his disappearance is out of character. Anyone who has seen him, or has information about his whereabouts, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page: https://www1.police.nsw.gov.au/. Information you provide will be treated in the strictest of confidence. We remind people they should not report crime information via our Facebook and Twitter pages. Missing Persons Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of the issues and impacts surrounding missing persons and runs between Sunday 3 August and Saturday 9 August 2014. NSW Police Force would like to thank the Outdoor Media Association (OMA) for their assistance with Missing Persons Week 2014, donating more than $220,000 worth of advertising sites across NSW.
