***News Release- Bank Robbery*** Today (July 31, 2014) at around 9:14 AM, Utica Police responded to First Niagara Bank- 1125 Mohawk Street in regards to a 911 call for a robbery. According to a bank employee a black male wearing a black fisherman hat, sunglasses, a brown shirt and light pants approached the counter and demanded money.The black male said he had a gun, however one was not displayed. The black male would later leave the bank on foot headed northeast on Mohawk Street with an undisclosed sum of money. Attached are several photographs from the banks camera system. Anyone who may recognize the suspect or have any information about this crime is asked to call the Utica Police Departments Criminal Investigation Division at 315-223-3501. All phone calls will be kept confidential. Thank you.
