News Release: Palmetto Police Motorcycle Training Seminar Competition The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting the 9th Annual Police Motorcycle training seminar on Thursday, March 20 through Saturday, March 22, 2014. This prestigious event showcases the skills and abilities it takes to operate a police motorcycle with rider safety in mind. As in years past the event is being held in the parking lot of the North Charleston Coliseum off of International Blvd. Bostic Law Firm is once again a sponsor of the event. A few of our other sponsors are GEICO, Harley-Davison Company, Motolight, and Firstling Services. This year’s event is expected to highlight approximately fifty riders from across the Southeast including Florida, New York, Virginia and South Carolina among others. Charleston County Sheriff’s Office motor officers will be competing in the event as will riders from Charleston County EMS. Events begin on include the opening ceremony at 8:00 am, Saturday morning, Team Riders, Skills course and other competitions culminating with an awards ceremony Saturday evening. The public is invited and encouraged to attend and cheer on their favorite rider, the training is free to the public including free parking. Proceeds from the event benefit Camp Happy Days.
