Next Term (New dancers are welcome anytime. For class details see pedralta/tuition/classes.htm We’ll continue with the “set” format for classes again next term. The aim is to learn/reinforce both ATS® and Pedralta World Fusion styles®. Each class will comprise a basic move from the PWF manual for beginners and a combo for intermediate dancers. Then we’ll have a “set” of about 10 minutes this time (shorter than last term) that will include music suitable for the fusion forms we use, Spanish, Balkan Skirt, Stick etc. Bring your zils too. Not everyone will have studied all the fusions but remember the music we use is suitable for the basic format (all the moves in the foundation manual). This method seems to be giving everyone more confidence and enabling good team work. We need to make sure we don’t let technique slip once we begin dancing in the sets, so please work hard on even the very basic moves and make them the best they can be. Try to relax into the music and let it guide your dance. We’ll continue to use various formations and shapes.
