Next up in my 80s Flashback series... I remember going to an 8th Grade Dance and standing against the wall with most of my friends the whole time because even in the 80s, I danced like a white boy...unless it was a slow dance. And at one point during the night, these twins came up to me and asked if I could dance. TWINS! If I only knew then... Anyway, I said yes only because a slow song was on the deck, and it was Chris DeBurghs Lady in Red. The dance was magical because even at the age of 15 I knew this chick was hot and my next dance partner was JUST as hot! So we danced and just when this song finished, my younger brother Josh ran up to me and said, Hey Sean, Moms outside to pick you up! I said, Tell her Im busy (my young MC was kicking in). Josh replied, We gotta go NOW! So I turned to the second twin and told her I had to go home, which broke both our hearts (or so I like to think). When I got in moms car, I told her what happened and she said, Oh hon, I could have waited! I looked back at Josh and he just grinned.
