Nicely shot video below by an old student of mine from Nathan Hale High School. He, Thao, was in my Hale fishing club..I was there when he caught his first steelhead, on a fly on the Stilly, a hatchery fish which I made him release as per native tradition. (NOONE releases hatchery fish!--but I thought it was important. I then landed a 17 pder which I kept because it was not my first! Too funny!! Thao has gone on to become an absolutely super fisherman (far better troutfisherman than me), a fine young man, a social justice producer (Mayor McGinns right hand man), and a good friend. Some day he hopes to make many fishing videos.
