Nick Hanauer is saying these things I love to hear. I wonder what he would think about my visions of new ways... For this particular one, the low-wage earning sector...I see good reasons for it to be handed over to young people entirely, as part of experiential learning; I see it as a certificate programme as well, for consciously learning the dynamics of workplaces, collaborating and optimizing time, skills and resources as applicable to any jobs, but while doing jobs anyone can do. Then...they grow on...and dont ever have to flip burgers, scrub toilets, empty garbage cans, etc ever again unless they choose to. Presto, appreciation for workers of the lower order and presto, real world skills and experience to put to good use. For everyone. As part of the transition from being a dependant to being self sustaining. No one need get stuck there at those levels of pay. And no one would skip them...I hope.
