Nigeria: Actually, the country is a noisy nation. Its a 24-7 events and 365days a year. Just imagine, at night when theres always black-outs, every room has a power generator and if triggered, itll supply both noise and a fluctuating energy. As you try to ignore that, youll be hearing virgilantes drumming very loud coupled with their warning gun shots competing figuratively with that of original armed robbers. Meanwhile, as day starts to break, the cocks starts to crow its own and also with heavy speakers vibrating from a mosque near your house calling you for morning prayers. When you close the window, an Aladura preacher is passing with bell ringing at the other side instructing you to repent or face hell fire. Minutes later, then you may start hearing bus conductors shouting for passengers too. Then your neighbor want you listen to his or her best music at early morning by raising the volume of the set to let you know how the bass sounds . Now youre ready for work, at the bus-stop, youre being shout at to buy one thing or the other by hawkers and in most cases, youre even touched, dragged, insulted or embarrassed. If then you manage to board in one of those public buses, then comes in a preacher or product- marketer trying to sell a product that cures all diseases. In every where you find yourself, people shouts as if all are hearing impaired patients. Courtesy is hardly in Nigerians dictionaries. Folks, how else will I let them know?
