Nigeria in Poetry LIVE... Relaunch of Lyrikline, Berlin Poems by more than 850 poets in 58 languages, read in and translated into 55 languages – that’s what the website lyrikline already offers now. lyrikline has been online since 1999. At the time a pioneer, today it is the world archive of poetry with partners in more than 40 countries. The new lyrikline will be going online on 1 September 2013 – featuring completely new, hitherto unknown possibilities for exploring the world of international poetry. With thematic and formal categories, a dynamic search function and cross-referencing, lyrikline offers completely new ways of accessing poetry and enables individual poems to be found quickly. From now on, visitors can navigate the worlds of poetry with a new compass, and registered users will also be able to keep a kind of log book, tagging poems and making their own lists. At the relaunch on 1 September 2013, the new website and its various functions will be presented live in c-base Berlin (the “space station beneath Berlin-Mitte”), and via live streaming all over the world. The presentation will feature video links with partners and poets around the world, well-wishing messages and readings. The relaunch of the website has been made possible by a grant from the German Lottery Foundation, Berlin. The event is taking place with the kind support of: c-base, Institut Ramon Llull, Royal Norwegian Embassy Berlin, Rámus Förlag, Malmö and the Swedish Embassy, Berlin Sun. 1 September 2013, 7 pm UTC+2 lyrikline Relaunch With Simen Hagerup (poet, Norway), Els Moors (poet, Belgium), Steffen Popp (poet, Berlin), Pedro Sena-Lino (poet, Portugal), Helena Sinervo (poet, Finland), Jan Wagner (poet, Berlin) Venue: c-base – ›Raumstation unter Berlin Mitte‹ (Space station beneath Berlin-Mitte), Rungestrasse 20, 10179 Berlin live at lyrikline.org
