Nigeria is a crazy country gone berserk. We have lost every sense of right or wrong and every decency. We are greedier everyday and compete with ourselves in the league of opportunists who will loot more than all before put together. Are there any honest rich persons in Nigeria today. Are there those who have served as military or civilian presidents, governors, administrators, ministers, permanent secretaries, directors, civil servants, director generals and chief executives and all the business partners who have amassed more than they can justify as their rightful income who did not loot or steal or pipe or siphon public funds into private pockets and generally amuse their offices and bend the rules without fear of God for their evil enrichment? Nigeria has lost the clime of innocence and have denied and lost the fear of a God. We have sold ourselves to the gods of mammon and lucre. Many who have not stolen or are not stealing or cheating is because they have not the opportunity. They are just praying and waiting for their turn and opportunity to do their own bit and wishes that the age of Nigerian corruption will not expire before they have gotten their own share of the Nigerian commonwealth. This is the truth of the matter. We are far gone in rot and our consciences are seared. Pitch dark kettles call charcoal blackened pots black and feel good and holier. All shameless hypocrites all in all. Murtala Mohamed is the only corrupt Nigerian leader who was not in denial of corruption. He saw himself as dipped in sin and corrupt enrichment and confessed he had sinned. He did not just say, from now I sin no more. He pointed to the articles of his ill gotten wealth and restituted. He forfeited properties to government as the proceeds of his corrupt enrichment. It was only then he had the moral justification to call on others to do likewise. This is why Murtala Mohamed is the only true and honest revolutionary we have ever had. This hypocrisy, this selective amnesia, this selective justice, this go with your loot and enjoy, this go and sin no more will not let us be a clean country. This is because deep in us we do not believe in ONE NIGERIA. We expect it to crumble anytime from now and we are grabbing all we can before the collapse. Those of our people and friends who see us loot, hail us for getting a share of the national cake made by oil which no one is willing to bake more. Can this money guzzling and toothless democrazy we are romancing deliver us and take us to the promised land? No and no and never. What do we need???? NIGERIA NEEDS THE COMING OF A RUTHLESS BENEVOLENT DICTATOR WHO WILL INSTILL AND BRING BACK THE FEAR OF GOD IN OUR LIFE BLOOD. we are far gone in corruption and rot that no sermonizing can transform us. Ahab told Elijah, you have brought the trouble on Israel and Elijah rightly told Ahab, YOU ARE THE TROUBLER OF ISRAEL. The troublers of Nigeria need to repent or expire by divine intervention. Those who have turned Nigeria into their private estate need to be shaken and uprooted from their citadels of corruption and blood sucking. Nigeria must be liberated from their hands before our slavery and poverty of spirit, body and soul will end. The demon of corruption holding Nigeria hostage is a stubborn one and needs a monumental warfare and battle to overthrow. Abacha is not our worst enemy. We are our worst enemy - our silence, complicity and desire to join the army of looters if we can have the opportunity.
