Nineteen years ago, you came into my life; two weeks early, and the very day that we had tickets to go see Phantom of the Opera. I had slept in the living room chair because of Braxton Hicks contractions; after a lunch of Taco Bell, we went to my appointment at Little Creek clinic. Imagine my surprise when the doctor told me I was 5 1/2 centimeters. And that I was going straight to Portsmouth Naval.... I hadnt even packed my bag for the hospital yet! I got a trip in an ambulance through the midtown tunnel in rush hour traffic, and the OB doctor got two great seats to Phantom of the Opera (she said later it was a fantastic show). Thus began the story of how you came into my life, my beautiful, precious daughter. Erin Leigh Laraway, aka Pootie Girl : ) The start of a journey that ended far too early, but at that time, I was only aware of how much I loved you. Happy Happy 19th Birthday, my sweet angel.
