Njie gorree promotion has ended his 2013 wrestling season after staging an extraordinary wrestling competition that feature two style of wrestling Dorr and Roffo on Saturday the 15th June at the serekunda west mini stadium. The event brought together dignitaries from both Gambia and Senegal and most notably was the president of Gambia wrestling federation Alhagie Matarr Jarju, desk officer for wrestling at the ministry for yoth and sports Abdoulie Bojang, Alhagie Malick Jones fro GRTS and the biggest promotion Gaston Mbengue from Senegal. Various madia houses and Tv stations from Senegal including GRTS, Sen Tv reporter Malick Chandum, Lamin Samba of Tfm and Maxi Mbergan of LCS Tv where all present to cover the event. The Ambassador of Senegal to the Gambia Alhagie Babacarr Jange was present with a high profile delegation I honour of the flag named after him between Ernest Jatta and Kunta Kinteh for the first time in his life as well as Alh. Mam Malick Mbowe who beared the second flag between Mboran and Hoyantan. The stadium was full to its capacity as thousands of Gambian converged to feel the entertaining environment as wrestling is dominating Gambian hearts gradually courtesy of Njie gorree promotions that came with a massive spending to help wrestlers as a whole. It was hard to distinguish the two grand combat that came with the greater number of fans as Ernest Jatta defeated Kunta Kinteh in the borree Dorr while Hoyantan has settled the dust that surrounds him and Mboran after four times the two met without a victory for both two and it took Hoyantan 2 minutes to wrestle down Mboran. It has not being a good time for the Roots leader Kunta Kinteh who has lost two consecutive combats between Action and Ernest Jatta in a row and as a result this will take him back before going any further in his career . Earlier before the grand combats there were other big combats where we witnessed Sa Thies of Banjul Saku Hamham defeated Escutarr of Bakau Geumsa bopa, Gui Gi of Serekunda mbollo defeated Fifty of Club Kaye Bakh, Jokadu of club Mara defeated Balla Gambia of Gambia police force which was the longest duration witnessed in wrestling for almost 20 minutes. The event was powered and sponsored by Best, Panther energy drink and Lac Lait but there is a big question mark on the sponsors where we observed sponsors coming from Senegal into the Gambia and sponsor the Gambian wrestling. Where are the Gambian companies to sponsor wrestling?
