No Downton Abbey so have to dish on the Oscars. What did you think? I thought it was an amazing crop of best pictures this year--some outstanding acting performances, all Oscar-worthy. I had thought that 12 Years a Slave would sweep, but Gravity was the darling of the night. And gowns? Pretty nice on the whole, but a little too much cleavage on some of them. Goldie Hawn? Too many face lifts. Meryl Streep still looks lovely AND her age. Ellen? I quite liked her low-key, teasing type of humor but could have done without the pizza boxes. All in all I felt it was an evening lacking in life and excitement, didnt you?
