No educated person would even bother to read an article whose headline claims that the leading issue in GMOs is "tampering with nature." Instead he would simply assume you are ignorant of the relevant science and social science issues such as: -the difference between regulation based on the precautionary principle (as in medical care) versus regulation based on innocent-until-proven-guilty social experimentation (as in GMO foods) -the likely impacts on third world poverty of shifting from low capitalization farmer independence based on reuse of seed to high capitalization farmer dependence based on monopolized seed that must be repurchased every year -the difference in risk between gene swapping between related varieties of the same species versus a totally unrelated phylum -the adverse impacts on organic farming from systematically inducing insect resistance to Bt by indiscriminately disseminating it -the absurdity of encouraging the replacement of a varied diet with a rice monoculture based on the addition of a single vitamin - and much more. All I can say is that you and your magazine have completely lost track of the difference between science (oriented to understanding) and technology (oriented to profit). You are little more than shills for the chemical industry.
