No it‘s not ‘100 millionth Filipino’ obviously. And no, it’s also not 100 million. Given the dismally low levels of birth registration among marginalized sectors, the figure 100 million reflects on government’s patent negligence and ineptness. The July 2014 estimates from World Factbook put the Philippine population at already past 107 million. Making 7 million people vanish at once is pure magic! So watch the SONA closely, because that’s exactly how the President plans to make poverty disappear.
