No matter how well intentioned Westerners are, they must decline at every point any and all impulses to seek to install themselves in Leadership roles within the lives of Indigenous Peoples and struggles for their self determination. This is true in a one on one relationship as it is in a collective to collective relationship. When you Love the People, you encourage your support your oftentimes will be positively affirming ... THAT THEY HOLD ALL THE ANSWERS TO THEIR LIVES IN THEIR OWN HEARTS AND SOULS. Anything less than this, is to deny your self interest in seeking Leadership where it isnt appropriate and simply re inscribing the existing Colonial Imperial dogma of false benevolence. It is to sustain the existing paradigm of political dependency and disempowerment of the People.
