No new year birds today, but I did have my first Yellow-Rumped Warbler of the Spring at Gunnar-Anderson Forest Preserve in Geneva! Gunnar-Anderson, a relatively small forest preserve, was bananas with 28 kinds of birds! The highlight at Gunnar-Anderson was this American Robin pictured below, which I believe to be partially leucistic. I also had one continuing White-Winged Scoter at Fabyan Forest Preserve, and a continuing Tundra Swan at Carson Slough. Kane County.
