No one would defend this woman were she an anti-Semite who, citing a religious belief in blood libel tales, refused to bake a cake for a Jewish couple, nor would anyone defend her were she a member of the Church of the Aryan Nations who refused, on religious grounds, to bake a wedding cake for two African-Americans. She put herself into the public square as a businessperson, and now she wants special exemptions from civil rights laws that wed never extend to anyone else. If youre in business, then serve your customers and keep your beliefs to yourself. If you want a pulpit, then leave the bakery and buy a church.
