No other manuscripts seem to support the idea Jesus married. There would be nothing wrong if this was fact, but the absence of any other writings in this matter leads one to believe he did not marry. If indeed he was, would she not have been @ the foot of the cross with his mother? Would not people rally around and even make her somewhat of a celebrity? Would Jesus not go to her and comfort her after he rose? Of course. The most likely explanation may be either this text is false or Jesus was referring to the church as his bride. The word wife is in the King James Version of the Bible 407 times. I suggest a great deal of study before someone makes a claim of Jesus being married.
