No sense of what is right or wrong... Distorted moral and ethical values that lead to criminal deeds without shame and remorse... Tsk tsk tsk... 😈 -- VOG ************************************** WRONG VALUES By Philip Jr Lustre The main problem of Bong Revilla stems from his wrong values. Stealing public money is no crime for Bong Revilla. Giving bribery to other people is no crime for him. His lawyers have ably articulated Bong Revillas moral values - or lack of them. If we follow his logic, we could say that bribery is fine; it is morally correct. Or the crime of bribery does not exists in our laws or statute books. Please read this story and try to contain your astonishment on the outrageous views and statements of Revillas lawyers, particularly Fortun. Just laugh, if you wish... *********************************************** Revilla camp: Nothing wrong with paying witness ABS-CBNnews Posted at 12/03/2014 11:15 AM | Updated as of 12/03/2014 3:52 PM MANILA - The camp of Sen. Ramon Bong Revilla Jr. on Wednesday said the Sandiganbayan First Division put too much weight on the fact that a handwriting expert admitted that he was paid by Revilla to testify in the bail hearing. Speaking to ANCs Headstart, Revilla spokesperson Atty. Raymond Fortun said the prosecution presented 9 witnesses in the hearings for Revillas bail petition while the defense only presented one. He said the testimony of former National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) senior document examiner Atty. Desiderio Pagui was necessary to show that Revillas signatures in Commission on Audit (COA) documents were all forged. The rebuttal is for documents allegedly signed but the signatures are forged. These are not proofs that Senator Revilla was involved in some kind of scheme to use the PDAF in order to obtain monetary benefits for certain individuals, he said. Fortun, however, said the Sandiganbayan magistrates put gravy on Paguis admission that he is being paid P200,000 to testify for Revilla. He said Paguis admission was cited in the resolution denying Revillas bail petition. The spokesman said there is nothing wrong with paying a professional for his services, especially if he will be testifying in court. Even Senator Revilla had said he did not pay the handwriting expert to lie. Yes, it was that the witness was paid P200,000 to testify. I find that highly questionable because these justices arent operating in a vacuum. They know that if there is an expert witness, you always pay for a service of an expert, he said. This guy has a certain expertise and of course expertise is something you put a premium on . Hindi libre yan. Hindi pwede na O punta ka dito, tignan mo ito. This guy is using all of his experience for the past 20 plus years to make a determination that may be favorable for you, he added. He said he even pays his sister, forensic pathologist Raquel Fortun, a professional fee when she testifies in court. Fortun said none of the witnesses presented by the prosecution said they personally gave money to Senator Revilla. [There are] no witnesses who could positively identify him to have received money or spoken to them even directly na ito ang usapan natin. None of the witnesses got to meet Senator Revilla, none of the witnesses could say that they have perosnal knowledge of an agreement to use his PDAF, he said. The spokesman also questioned the presentation of whistle-blower Benhur Luys hard drive, saying that an expert had admitted there was data coming in after the cut-off point and there were deletions made. He also said the prosecutions comparison of amounts allegedly disbursed to Revilla by Luy and the bank deposits made by the senator does not prove anything because none of the amounts match. He said some of the deposits were made even prior to the alleged disbursements. If I want to manipulate and make sure that the amounts that I received would not be detected, I wouldnt even deposit it at all because it is dirty money. Dirty money is something you want to hide. Kaya nga ang tawag ay money laundering, you want to clean it up. You wont put it in the banking system where you dont want people to detect you, he said. Id probably put it in the basement or buy shares of stock. Thats the easy way of doing it. You can buy cars or property. At least there will be no trace of where the money came from, he added. Fortun said Revillas long-time career in the movie industry should explain his source of income. The Anti-Money Laundering Council earlier said the bank records of detained Senator Revilla show that he deposited huge amounts of money within a month after allegedly receiving millions in kickbacks from his transactions with Janet Lim Napoles. abs-cbnnews/nation/12/03/14/revilla-camp-nothing-wrong-paying-witness
