No support for traumatised Child!! KIMBERLY Mahangoo, the forgotten survivor of an attack at Tarodale, Ste Madeleine last year which left her mother dead, remains traumatised and unable to move on with her life. Mahangoo was 15 years old when her mother’s friend shot her four times and killed her mother, Sherlene Mahangoo-Charles, in their home. The friend is also being sought by the police for information that can solve the murder of 19-year-old Salma Chadee, killed recently at her home in Caroni. Kimberly Mahangoo has never returned to the home where her mother was shot dead. She lives a quiet life elsewhere, staying indoors trying to recover from the four bullet wounds to her chest. A close female relative of the teenager, who did not want her identity revealed because for fear of the gunman, said Kimberly Mahangoo will never be the same after the attack on her life on May 8, last year. “She has not fully recovered and I don’t know if she ever will. She is not going to school, she is not working. She got four shots in her chest, and it is not easy for her to recover,” said the relative. “She is really lucky to be alive and every day I thank God for her.”
