MH17 didnt work. Team Australia didnt work. So they roll out John Howards book on boosting your popularity. Not one member of the ADF should be told to do anything but supply aid to Iraq. But those C130Js have to fly low to drop. Yes, they will get shot at. Abbott WILL respond. Until his sorry ass gets dragged from office how many lives is he prepared to sacrifice in the name of shit happens to bolster his sagging political fortunes which, by the way, will continue heading south. China, Indonesia, Russia, the US, Iraq. Abbott has been itching for a fight since the sheep and dodgy minor parties put him there. We have a mountain of new equipment on the Governments Projects of Concern list (it doesnt work) including submarines that sink. And today we lost HMAS Bundaberg. Our ADF is stretched enough without this. Keep bloody politicians the hell out of military decisions. If DIO advises of a need based on a threat to Australias security then so be it.
