No way Im gonna be able to sum up my feelings on the massacre in Paris. Too massive and complex and horrific, and too much else going on in my head/heart as it is (more on that later, maybe). Ive seen a lot of people (that I respect lots) writing things that I dont agree with. Its understandable, as it brings up so many strong feelings, and were in the age of the instant (and often inappropriate) public response. Kind of like the slaughter itself. Irony and tragedy, together again. All I know is 12 more people are dead. 12 more murdered. There is no justifying or minimizing these murders, but maybe its yet another chance to really check it out: we have built a very ugly machine -- yes, all of us, one way or another -- and this is the exhaust. Love to all.
