No wonder this country did not make it to the top ten of technologically advanced countries. David Cameron and Boris Johnson are fighting tooth and nail pleasing their friend by making London the global financial powerhouse while the pendulum is swinging. The thrust should be towards technology. It was to the Labour Party Conference in Scarborough as far back as Oct 1st 1963 that the then Prime Minister - Harold Wilson - delivered the now-famous “White Heat Speech”. "We are redefining and we are restating our socialism in terms of the scientific revolution.... The Britain that is going to be forged in the white heat of this revolution will be no place for restrictive practices or outdated methods on either side of industry." Why are we not yet enjoying 4G standard mobile networks? Countries like Thailand, Argentina, Kazakhstan and India have all rolled out 4G but not the UK. [Till August 29th I hear] A shame!!
