Non-formal learning club “WE” Annual Report of 2013 The aim of Non-formal learning club “WE” was actively implemented through participation in educational and exchange projects in Lithuania and abroad in 2013.Club members participated in 5 learning projects in Lithuania and even 7 international projects abroad. They were held in Portugal, Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, United Kingdom, Poland and Turkey. 27 club members took part in those projects last year. All members who participated in learning projects stated that during this activity they had an opportunity to develop their personal skills and knowledge in a lot of spheres. Besides, all of them expressed their will to participate in learning projects again. Non-formal learning makes a major contribution to young peoples’ lives within three main interlinked areas: personal development, active citizenship and employability. International projects and projects held in Lithuania, in which club “WE” members had an opportunity to participate were related to these areas.There are some short descriptions and participants’ impressions about them. The aim of international project “Supporting Entrepreneurship Skills and Active Participation of Rural Youth” held in Turkey was to discuss and try to solve youth unemployment problems in different countries. Club members who took part in this project were proud of its results: various knowledge and improved personal skills, as well as acquaintance with people from different countries and Turkish culture. International project “In Focus” hosted in Poland unified people from 12 different countries who are concerned about social problems and are interested in project management. Tolerance and solidarity were mentioned as important elements to understand and help people with different point of view and nationality. Discussions, simulations, acting, team work and other non-formal learning methods were used to achieve the aim of this project. International youth project „Training Course on Active Citizenship, European Parliament Elections and Youth project“ provided an opportunity for its participants to learn about elections systems in different countries, European Parliament, common problems in European countries, dissemination of information and interesting facts about different cultures. Youth exchange project “You(th) can” organized in Ukraine was aimed to improve entrepreneurship, self-support and self-confidence in looking for a job process. Participants were interested in opportunities of labour markets, companies and job advertisementsin foreign countries. Besides, activities during project enabled to get information about foreign non-government organizations, people, traditions and culture of other countries. In conclusion, all activities,organized by club members and activities where members of Non-formal learning club “WE” participated, were related to inspiration a sense of active citizens, solidarity, and tolerance among different people, as well as involving them in shaping their future and future of their community. Activities were based on mobility, non-formal learning, intercultural dialogue, and inclusion.
