None of Moududi’s children are Jamaat supporter. Moududi himself kept his children away from Jamaat e Islami, because he did not like to spoil them. None of Ghulam Azam’s children are Jamaat activist. So are the children of top ranking Jamaat e Islami leaders—their children are carefully kept away from Jamaat politics. The reason appears to be the same like that of their Guru Moududi—none want their children to be spoiled. Most top notches of Jamaat e Islami have either been awarded death sentence or awaiting verdict by the war crimes tribunal for their crime against humanity during the liberation war. Strangely none of their children are seen taking to the streets demanding their release. Many valuable lives have already been lost, and many more seriously injured in violent clashes following the trial and the verdicts. None of those killed or injured are children of Jamaat leaders.
