Nordic Cruise Leon and I have returned from our Nordic cruise. We boarded ship in Germany, and sailed to Norway, Scotland, Denmark and Iceland; an unforgettable journey, and a lesson in self-discovery. Traveling, to me, is a book coming to life. I open the pages, step in, and explore with my own eyes. It is the best teacher, expanding my knowledge both culturally and socially. I re-evaluate, thinking more intelligently and disregarding older myths and concepts. I see the world in a truer, broader sense. I feel like a stranger placing my feet on faraway, foreign lands, but I am a friend upon leaving… People and countries have differences, but share many similarities. It is an exciting experience conversing with one who does not speak English and yet we feeling a common bond--We are all people. Faraway lands become a part of me---and strangers who touch my hand, touch my heart.
